HOW TO WEAR THE NEW CASUAL CO-ORDS

Since last spring/summer, brightly coloured co-ords have been the way to go. Whether in the form of a tracksuit or a matching shirt and shorts combo, standout two-pieces have been spotted on street-stylers everywhere. To continue the hype well into AW18, here’s how to don a corresponding set for the transitional season.

In case you missed it, revere-collar shirts have been a staple feature of most men’s wardrobes for SS18. A hallmark piece of 80s Riviera style, go for an updated tropical-print version and team with matching shorts for an audacious ’fit.

Accessories-wise, give your ensemble a streetwear edge and opt for hi-top trainers with hints of red and blue to correlate with the colours of your co-ord. A slick cap and black cross-body bag make for functional final touches.

Khaki was a major hue for AW17, but for AW18, emergency orange is the shade to get on board with. To show off your sartorial prowess, why not compile an outfit that makes use of both? A khaki hoodie and matching shorts (swap them out for same-colour trews as the temperature drops) will signify that you’re ready for autumn to start.

Meanwhile, a pair of emergency-orange sandals teamed with socks will keep your look warm-weather hopeful, proving that you’ve got transitional dressing down to a tee. Don a pair of retro shades and a pastel bucket hat to say ‘see you later’ to summer in style.

From Vivienne Westwood to Astrid Andersen, checks cropped up on the catwalk a number of times for AW18. Herald its arrival by going for a check co-ord like this patchwork-style one. Go for pared-back pieces for the rest of your getup – this set will draw enough attention on its own.

A colour-block jacket with subtle fluorescent panelling will add an element of 80s flavour to your ensemble, as will a steezy monochrome bucket hat. A pair of dad-style loafers and grey socks will inject a touch of refinement for a multifaceted look.
