3 SEOUL BRANDS TO KNOW
By Lakeisha Goedluck, 9 April 2018
In recent years, Seoul has made a name for itself as the world’s emerging fashion capital. And a fresh batch of streetwear and skatewear-lead brands from the South Korean city have helped to shape the current state of the menswear scene. So, to get in on the hype, check out the most recent releases from D-ANTIDOTE x Fila, ANTIMATTER and Charm's, now available on ASOS.

Starting off as a small textile business in the northern Italian town of Biella back in 1911, Fila became a streetwear favourite and was later acquired by its South Korean arm in 2007. For its latest collab, the brand has teamed up with D-ANTIDOTE – a label influenced by both Seoul and London that aims to create genderless, high-quality cuts. The collection sees Fila’s retro, road-ready aesthetic remixed with ostentatious taping, so expect oversized bum bags and slick colour-block track jackets.

If you’re familiar with ANTIMATTER, you’ll know that the brand has a penchant for obscure graphics. Inspired by internet subcultures – think net art and vaporwave – the label often plays around with bold colours and in-your-face prints. For its SS18 offering, ANTIMATTER has designed a range of anime-covered skater-style tees and reflective sportswear separates.

Charm's began as a label that offered matching looks for couples, but it has since evolved to deliver experimental streetwear pieces. In the past, the brand has joined up with the likes of Kappa to create a fluorescent collection rife with asymmetric silhouettes. So, if you’re after some standout picks, check out its selection of neon-coloured tees and logo-print tracksuits to get you geared up for spring.
