STYLISH GUYS IN GRAPHIC-PRINT T-SHIRTS
By Lakeisha Goedluck, 29 April 2018
When the weather heats up, you can always rely on the humble T-shirt to see you through the spring/summer season. But if you’re tired of your stripped-back options, why not flavour your ’fits with a graphic-print version instead? From striking logos to bold lettering, see how these street-stylers are rocking their standout tees for SS18.
By now, you’ve probably got a healthy supply of plain white T-shirts. So, if you’re game to start playing around with prints, go for a white tee with an eye-catching middle-of-the-chest logo. To style his, this guy’s wisely opted for a refined, minimal aesthetic. He pairs his chilled T-shirt with a pair of grandad-inspired grey slacks and clean creps. Notice how his navy cap echoes the print on his tee while his belt matches the rucksack casually slung over his shoulder. Clever stuff.
When it comes to spring steez, you can’t go wrong with a short-sleeved shirt. This fella starts off his ’fit with a white tee complete with Cyrillic lettering before layering a burgundy-coloured relaxed shirt over the top to add a casual-cool vibe to his look. On his bottom half, he opts for raw-hem black jeans and a pair of much-hyped Balenciaga Speed trainers (the predecessor of the Triple S). To finish, he pops on all-black shades. So slick.
An important style lesson to learn here is that, if your T-shirt is especially flamboyant, choose laid-back cuts to go with it. Breaking away from the sartorial status quo, this chap’s chosen to sport a black graphic-print tee with minimal tracksuit bottoms. Accessories-wise, he injects some extra flavour with an oversized Y-3 tote bag and those SS18-ready sunglasses.
This street-styler's look is proof that a printed tee can form the foundation of a smart getup, too, as he goes for a monochrome Loewe T-shirt paired with a cool-grey heritage check suit. Notice how his accoutrements mirror the main colours of his ensemble – his leather boots, baseball cap and neckerchief all come in black while his ornate silver rings complement his suit nicely.
In terms of his ’fit, this guy’s gone for a cross between skater style and 90s-flavoured streetwear. Up top he rocks an oversized Toki Sen-i Co., Ltd. T-shirt, while he opts for a slick pair of side-stripe joggers to go on his bottom half. A backwards cap and Converse trainers in the same colourway as his trews finish off his aesthetic-crossing getup.
