If the thought of wearing double denim makes you shudder, then you’re most likely not alone – but it’s time to heave a sigh of relief because the aesthetic has been updated for SS18. Cast ideas of 90s sitcom characters clad in shocking denim-heavy sets out of your mind; here’s how to rock a jean-based ’fit with finesse this spring.

Now, if you’re a novice when it comes to styling double denim it’s best to go for cuts in contrasting colours. Start off your ensemble with a white graphic-print hoodie and layer up with a cream denim jacket to keep your look minimal but subtly introduce some variation.
Switch it up completely down low and opt for black jeans – go for a pair with stitching in the same hue as your top half to tie your getup together. Don some Reebok Phase 1 Pro CV trainers in a colourway that reflects the shades already featured in your outfit, and finish off your look with a logo-print white cap for added 90s-flavoured steez.
