STYLISH GUYS IN GREEN
By Matt Glazebrook, 17 March 2019
The great philosopher, Kermit the Frog, once said: ‘It’s not easy being green’. And while, in fashion terms, that may have been true until fairly recently, the last few seasons have seen leafy hues at the forefront of the sartorial spectrum. From classic military drab to fresher forest shades, here’s how the stylish set are doing emerald styles this St Patrick’s Day.

Dadcore duds
There’s something very Sunday dad about this fella’s plain green sweatshirt. Just so we know he’s doing a look (as opposed to getting papped on his way to the garden centre), he’s styled it up with other key dadcore staples: a fleece, a windbreaker and a pair of basic white creps.

Big coat energy
Head-to-toe green and brown can be a tricky move to pull off without coming over a bit agricultural. This fella’s neatly sidestepped that particular sartorial muddy puddle by breaking up his rustic palette (excellent olive trench and chocolate worker pants) with a punchy print shirt, statement sunnies and bright red beanie. Fresher than a recently mown field.

Prints charming
This chap’s taken the opposite approach with his slightly psychedelic statement shirt. Pairing the rich green top with a print-clashing striped tee, tan chinos, boho bracelets and chestnut brogues, he’s created a sort of tropical Englishman abroad hybrid that’s immediately become our new holiday jam.

Camo chameleon
To return to Kermit for a moment, one of the muppet’s main issues with his natural tone is that ‘it’s the colour of leaves’ and ‘it seems you blend in with so many ordinary things’. Which is exactly the point when it comes to military-issue, green-and-brown camo print. Although the only thing this dude’s going to blend in with on the cobbled streets of Paris Fashion Week is other hypebeasts in camo Gosha Rubchinskiy T-shirts.

As seen in blue-green
There’s something pleasingly aquatic about this fella’s Sunday comfies. Puffer jacket in tropical azure, beanie in deep-water blue and an excellent retro tracksuit in seaweed green. Like a shining sea of steezy streetwear.
