FLAT LAY
YOUR EARLY-SPRING STREET-STYLE OUTFIT
By Lakeisha Goedluck, 13 March 2018
It’s safe to say that we’re over the worst of the weather, so the time has finally come to crack out your transitional garms in preparation for the months ahead. To get you inspired, we’ve picked out a ’fit spotted on a street styler at New York fashion week that’s ideal for the early-spring period.

The look
Dressing during this in-between stage can be tricky, but this guy’s got the essentials sorted. He goes for an abstract striped T-shirt in a harmonious white, navy and emergency-orange colourway to start off with. Then, he opts for a pair of refined navy trousers, making sure to separate the two halves of his outfit with a dark-brown leather belt. He pops on a pair of fresh white creps (notice how the piping complements his tee), and he rounds off his look with a sensible outerwear option: the traditional trench coat.

How to do it
To follow in his footsteps, jump on the hype for retro knitwear and don a striped blue jumper. On your bottom half, choose a similar pair of smart navy trousers and style them with a dark-green belt to break up your predominantly blue ensemble. Layer up with a staple trench coat – opt for a camel-coloured one to give your look a classic feel. On foot, go for a pair of ice-blue Reebok Revenge Plus TL trainers to keep up the tonality, and finish off your getup with a slick pair of spring-ready tinted shades.
