As a resolution for 2018, why not champion an emerging aesthetic from last year and opt for garms in a popping colour palette? From fiery red to neon yellow, here’s how to get the next 12 months off to a bright start.

Now that we’re in the depths of winter, it’s a solid idea to opt for a base layer that’s going to keep you cosy. The half-zip fleece is still a seriously hyped piece of kit, so go for one in black and flaming red to set the standout tone of your fresh new year getup. Carry on your newfound liking for loud colours and choose an overcoat in a neon-yellow shade to wear with it.
On your bottom half, counterbalance what’s going on up top with a subdued pair of traditional houndstooth-print trousers. Pair your trews with matching monochrome Converse trainers to continue the understated vibe down low. To harmoniously round off your ’fit, select accessories that feature colours from the rest of your ensemble. A red checkerboard-print cap and a scarf in a similar design will pull the look together nicely.
