YOUR SUMMER-IN-THE-COUNTRYSIDE OUTFIT

Unfortunately, island life this north of the equator means that, even come August, you’re not guaranteed good weather. But, if you do find yourself in England’s green and pleasant bits, and it does happen to be hot, you’re going to need some clothes that stand up to your scenic surroundings.
Start things off with a light outer layer – a yellow checked shirt is a good way to work in some solid print and inject a healthy dose of colour. Wear it open over a white T-shirt, or amp things up a little with an amber tee from The North Face.
With your look suitably sunny up top, go for some wide-leg khaki shorts on the bottom and a pair of classic black Birkenstocks on foot. Add socks for detailing, pop on some round shades with a green bucket hat and you’re ready for a walk through some Wordsworth-worthy landscapes.
