OUTFIT OF THE DAY
#1,198 DAVID BECKHAM'S HERITAGE KIT
By Sam Higgins, 13 June 2017
David Beckham turned up at London Fashion Week Men’s on the weekend reminding the peacocking hordes that he’s still one of the world’s most stylish men.
Fashion week often serves up some, let’s say, eccentric outfits. But as David Beckham proved – while leaving his Kent and Curwen presentation – keeping things neat and minimalist can result in equal sartorial acclaim.
We’d believe Becks if he told us his teal raw-edged cardigan – which sported a vintage-looking three lions badge – was rooted out of an old bag in the loft labelled ‘school uniform’. But, actually, the retro-inspired piece was fresh from his brand’s latest line. Here, it added a touch of heritage to his otherwise Scandi-inspired style of a simple white tee and beige linen trews. A fresh pair of white kicks were the perfect summer choice and slotted straight into the muted palette, before DB finished his front-row ‘fit with a classic pair of Ray-Bans.
