MFW AW17 MEN’S STREET STYLE
By Matt Glazebrook, 3 March 2017
Milan's mens' fashion week brought some strong AW17 (and, indeed SS17) outfit goals on the streets outside the shows. A month on, it's the turn of the womenswear show attendees to strut their stylish stuff. Here are the guys who stood out for the right reasons.

There's nostalgic 50s all-American style and there's this guy, who's a packet of cigs rolled up in his shirt sleeve away from heading off along the railway tracks to find a dead body.

Here's a lesson in taking your all-black cool-kid basics to the next level. Double sweatshirts, the jauntiest beanie, Gucci gift bag and a cocktail to go. It's the little things that make this look pop.

The trouble with bringing a strong back-print game is that no one wants a picture of your face. Ah well, when you’re delivering embroidered denim jacket goals as strong as these, anonymity is a sacrifice worth making.

Dude's got a bit of a henchman vibe, but that's no bad thing. Polished Doc Marten boots, coated black skinny jeans, and a black leather biker are sartorial strong man staples, while a layered up teal jumper says 'I may be a cold-blooded killer, but I still like to get cosy'.

The smart-meet-sports trend has popping off of late, on catwalk and off, and this showgoer is a one-man primer in the look. Smart outer layer plus sporty, zip-up top plus minimalist sneakers: it's basic fashion maths. The trousers are a wild-card – a pair of subtly patterned smart trousers would work great, but neat tracky bottoms (like his) are fine too.

Admittedly, private school bully from a 1980s teen movie isn't a look that leaps to mind as our new spring go-to, but this fella – with his boxy sport coat, high-waisted mid-wash jeans, normcore baseball cap and just a hint of aggressive undershirt – makes a pretty convincing case. Watch out, poindexters!
