AW17: 90S CAMPING OUTFIT
By Kasia Hastings, 13 February 2017
Fashion month may have only just finished up, but we’re already helping you get your head around one of AW17’s biggest trends: 90s camping.
With designers like Prada, Dries Van Noten and Christopher Shannon endorsing all things dadcore in their latest collections, your pops' old-school performance gear looks set to dominate your wardrobe in ways you never thought possible. At the London menswear shows, fashion’s usual foray into mountaineering territory had a distinct 90s, Shia LaBeouf flavour – so we’re supplying you with all the kit you need to do your dad proud.
A piece of brightly coloured outerwear is key to landing this look – this techy North Face jacket is a practical investment with just enough of a pop of colour to keep things interesting. Underneath, go for a crisp white tee and layer a teal half-zip fleece on top for the ultimate dadcore dud. Next, work in a khaki zip-up shirt for a smarter option, and a solid pair of green straight-leg cargos on the bottom to balance things out. Finally, add some extra utility detailing with a black woven belt, throw in a pair of Nike Air Prestos and a grey Nike cap, and your 90s camping outfit is complete.
