Luxury Loungewear
By Gavin Jewkes, 17 September 2016
It’s been a banner year for pastel shades, which have filled our formerly monochrome wardrobes with some much-needed light. And the trend for all things pink, stone, beige and khaki doesn’t just apply to going-out gear – it works on lightweight sweatshirts, joggers and dressing gowns constructed from cosy brushed cotton and slubby jersey, too.
As autumn sets in, equipping yourselves with a stash of washed-out loungewear in slouchy, oversized fits is the sartorial equivalent of stocking the kitchen cupboards with heaps of hot chocolate. Settle in for an afternoon of untold comfort, like these lovebirds, in drop shoulder T-shirts and super-oversized sweatshirts.
The beauty of all this stuff, of course, is that if – for whatever reason – you happen to get undressed during the day, it doesn’t matter who pulls what back on – it’s got versatility at its core, and will look just as good on you as it will your other half.
