August is drawing to a close (sob) and so it's time to crown our best look of the last 31 days. As the saying goes, less is more, and it's a mantra Scott Disick has happily adopted.

The self-anointed Lord has seen the error of his former thick-pinstriped-and-yellow-trousered ways and, recently, has gone for a much more toned-down overall aesthetic. This particular shining example is a 101 in how to work tonal layers into your wardrobe for the coming cooler months (or, y'know, while cruising around LA, if you tend to run cold). We've recreated it for you below so you can get a jump on your September style.

Tonally, we've gone monochrome with this one, eschewing the Lord's navy hues in favour of black. A longline black tee is a brilliant base, and some Primeknit adidas Tubulars provide a sporty-but-smart nonchalance. Make like Disick and layer up with a great grey sweat, and add some perfectly ripped vintage-style jeans down below.
The finishing touch to any LA denizen's outfit is always a pair of serious shades, and these square-rimmed Gucci babies in tortoiseshell will lift your look like nothing else – except, maybe, Disick's BMW i8. If you can get your hands on one of them, definitely accessorise with that.
