Whether you’re hitting Notting Hill Carnival or hosting your own bank holiday booze-up, weather permitting, this weekend is your chance see off the summer in style.
Your carnival outfit

Walking aimlessly around West London while sounds systems blast out heavy bass isn’t for everyone, but if soaking up the last of the sunshine to the sound of reggae, dub, hip-hop, soca and dancehall does sound like your cup of Ting, you’re going to need an appropriate outfit.
Partying on the move calls for a kit that is equal parts fun and functional, so a camo jacket fits the bill perfectly. It’s pretty impervious to stains and has plenty of pockets for all your carnival accoutrements, while strap details will make your look stand out in a crowd of up to two million.
Underneath, a pink super-oversized tee adds some cool colour and will provide valuable ventilation. Go for a pair of denim shorts, black belt and Converse on your bottom half and cream Brixton cap up top. Finally, work in a grey Fjällräven Kanken backpack to pack in all your party paraphernalia and you’re just about ready to load up on rum, Red Stripe and Caribbean cooking.
