If you take anything away from SS17’s truckload of trends it should probably be a souvenir jacket. A more interesting riff on the classic bomber, its ability to elevate any outfit it’s added to has made it a cult classic. Here are three ways to work one into your summer wardrobe.
Ways to wear souvenir jacket

For a taste of our Surf Rat trend, try this black and white collared style with yellow piping and interesting eagle embroidery. As souvenir-style jackets go it’s pretty understated and its simple palette means it will easily fit into your existing kit. Layer it on top of a red, white and blue striped tee to introduce graphic detail and just a hint of colour. Go for a pair of pale cropped straight-leg jeans on the bottom and some black suede Vans to add a solid retro edge.
Pale and interesting
If you’ve been waiting for an opportunity to make pink a permanent part of your look, this Reclaimed Vintage bomber is the perfect way to experiment with a paler colour palette. Soft, summery and silky, it’s a strong lightweight take on the bomber that’ll see you through cooler summer climes. Team it with a grey tee and white denim shorts to keep things clean and uncomplicated and pick out its black accents with a pair of classic Converse.
A cock-and-bull story
Finally, for a souvenir suitable for smarter occasions go for this black bird emblazoned jacket from Religion. A more minimal all-black design makes its embroidery detail pop and allows you to wear more colour elsewhere. Underneath, work in a short-sleeve printed shirt with a revere collar for a fresh 50s feel. Get your smart-casj balance just right on your bottom half with some black chinos in a skinny cut and a pair of low black and white Converse.
