OUTFIT OF THE DAY
Outfit of the day #838
By Kasia Hastings, 6 June 2016
This weekend, Kanye West released the first track from Cruel Winter, caused absolute chaos on the streets of New York, and wore a really G.O.O.D. outfit to take in dinner and a show with the family.
It was always going to be a big weekend for Kanye, but when his Governors Ball show was cancelled due to bad weather, the rapper decided to announce two surprise performances, which quickly sent fans into a complete frenzy. West was joined by Big Sean, Pusha T and Travis Scott for his first performance at the Hot 97 Summer Jam, which all went according to plan. It was outside Webster Hall in Manhattan that there were nearly riots, as crowds gathered to try to get into a show that never materialised, with the headliner attempting to close down surrounding streets to accommodate the overspill. But before Kanye decided to play mayor of New York, he took Kim and North to see The Lion King.
Whether he’s shutting down entire city blocks or taking in a musical classic, Kanye can be relied upon to make the magic happen and his latest ensemble involved a particularly impressive print-clash situation. West’s winning combination comes courtesy of two of summer’s statement pieces, a souvenir jacket and a band tee. Elsewhere, he keeps it simple in some black skinny jeans and tan Chelsea boots.
