Admittedly, clothes probably aren't the first thing you notice in Lil Yachty's take on the 'I'm on a boat' hip-hop vid trope – filtered, as it is, through the fevered mind of an over-sugared 12-year-old with a Snapchat addiction. Still, in between kittens, crying Michael Jordan and tiny Drake memes, we get to glimpse Yachty's interpretation of the nautical trend (red and gold overalls and a lifebelt hat) and a brilliant rainbow-striped turtle-neck jumper.

In which French, Ye and Nasty Nas revisit the golden age of the late 90s Bad Boy rap video, filming trail bikes jumping over decommissioned aeroplanes, like CDs still sell for £15 a pop and music marketing budgets grow on trees. In reality, this blast from promos past was presumably funded by the all the incongruous product placement squeezed in. Luckily, when he's not sipping a delicious premium vodka, Kanye finds time to wear a sweatshirt and motorcycle trousers combo straight out of Yeezy Season 3 and some strong stonewashed denim.

Here Skepta reveals his recipe for 'looking all cool (kool?) like Herc' while in the nightclub, which is apparently to dress 'like I just come from PE'. This raises the interesting image of a young Joseph Junior Adenuga running around the playing fields of Tottenham in a beanie hat, hoodie and custom Ryan Hawaii illustrated trenchcoat. 

A$AP Rocky's basically got a permanent spot in this monthly round-up, if chooses to use it, because – well, dude's A$AP Rocky and he just doesn't wear bad clothes, on video or otherwise. That said, the multi-coloured, multi-patterned camo getups Flacko and the crew sport here – the busy, clashing prints mirroring the glitchy video effects – are still worthy of note (not to mention the rainbow array of dressing gowns and slippers providing incredibly specific squad goals later on in the clip).

Chicago's Twin Peaks do the sort of 'five go wild in a charity shop' indie-rock dressing that groups don't really go in for anymore. But if it's a lonely stylistic furrow the lads are ploughing, we're happy they're sticking at the task, because it's a strong look and someone needs to keep that early 00s boys-in-the-band flag flying. The breezy Butterfly clip features the gang mooching about a cemetery in their thrift store finery – wax jackets, cords, vintage workwear – before some giallo-esque creepy lo-fi visuals kick in and it all gets a bit spooky.
