Ways to wear: ASOS MW SS16
By Sam Higgins, 8 April 2016
We’ve breezed past Easter and now all it takes is someone to mention the word ‘summer’ and we all disappear in to a daydream about lazy days spent sunning ourselves. Luckily, our SS16 collection is available now, so you can be a step closer to making that daydream a reality. For an added head start, here are three ways to pull off those new threads to the best of their ability.

Nice and neutral
With the cold days behind us, it’s time to prep your wardrobe for summer. So, if you haven’t copped some camel already, now’s the time. The 2016 favourite will bring a neat, neutral feel to your summer ‘fits. To really nail the new hue, mix and match subtly different shades to give a strong tonal look. Keep it clean cut and simple up top with a camel sweatshirt and add contrast below the belt with some frayed, beige shorts. To give the look a fresh finish, add white, striped socks and classic kicks.

Adaptable
When you think of summer, you probably think of beaches, days in the park and sunshine – right? But, living in Britain, you need to be prepared for when the weather inevitably decides to play havoc with you and your summery getup. This happened to Lucas here, see. But luckily, his ‘fit could adapt easily thanks to the addition of an on-trend, lightweight camo jacket. Pair the turquoise, printed parka up with some black shorts, white socks and black plimsolls and you’ll have yourself a solid beach ‘fit that's prepared for any sly shifts in conditions.

Contemporary cuts
The concept of wearing knitwear during warmer months may seem like treason against summer, but actually, the waffle knit and woolly tees in our SS16 collection bring a pleasantly distressed, textured feel to your getup. But we’re not talking the thick threads of your wintery knits – this Aztec-inspired number, for example, offers more substance than your basic crew-neck, but won’t have you melting in the heat. If you’re not one to show some leg in summer, why not switch up your jeans style for the coming season, instead? Pack away the black skinnies and opt for a wide-leg indigo cut, finishing your summery steez off with some white kicks.
