OUTFIT OF THE DAY
Outfit of the day #778

David Beckham is a man with very good dress sense.

David Beckham can pull off any outfit. Suit? Easy. Tracksuit? Simple. Health goth? Way ahead of you. Give him the worst clothes you own – prints, colours and styles that clash hideously; pieces that are way too small and way too big – and he will still manage to craft them in to a sartorial triumph. Alternatively, throw him some good clothes and the results are even better.
Becks showed off that versatility in Malibu this week in a clean-cut and casual ‘fit. Up top, the ex-footballer threw on a simple navy sweatshirt and layered it over a black tee. Like that cool kid in your Year 7 class, he attached a chain to his belt, but left the early-noughties skater-boy aesthetic there and returned swiftly to his usual, smart/casj self. Some black chinos, pin-rolled at the cuffs, showed off a fresh pair of grey slip-on Vans and, as if DB didn’t look cool enough already, his accessories confirmed it – a backwards black cap, a pair of Wayfarer-style sunnies and a toothpick, which he chewed away at nonchalantly.
