STYLE. GROOMING. INSPIRATION. ADVICE.
April's most stylish vids
By Matt Glazebrook, 26 April 2016
While the lack of menswear (or much in the way of clothes at all) disqualified Harmony Korine's stand-out clip for Rihanna's Needed Me, April's crop of music videos still managed to deliver some strong #OutfitGoals. Check out four of our favourites.
Chance The Rapper ft. Saba – Angels
Chance's joyous love letter to his hometown of Chicago and its public transport system, also features some strong transit-chic in the form of Lil' Chano's tan and red boiler suits. Utilitarian fashion overalls are a key SS16 look, but if your tastes run a little more conventional, there's always Saba's tasty camo layered look to provide sonic sartorial inspiration.
A$AP Ferg – FLEM
Some of us can barely manage to make it out of bed to pull on our grungiest comfies when we're suffering from a cold, so hats off to A$AP Ferg for not only dragging his sorry self to the recording studio while in the midst of a bout of the sniffles, but also putting together a decent outfit for the occasion. A casj/cool combo of customised ripped jeans and a vintage Stone Cold Steve Austin tee are the core of Ferg's fit, while his own 'Traplord' adidas collab sneaks add rap-don glamour and a big cosy blanket scarf is a street-ready take on just staying under your duvet.
Jammer – Wavy House
What does one wear to a party in a wavy house? If Boy Better Know rapper Jammer is to be believed, comfy-cool casualwear in lots of soft tonal pastels. The soundtrack might be all late 80s neo soul, but the dress code for this bash is a very summer 2016 confection of light blues and greys, pale pinks and sandy camels. Just remember to wipe your feet on the wavy mat when you come in the wavy door.
Jamie Isaac – Last Drip (Remix ft. Rejjie Snow)
Music vid wunderkind Dexter Navy's really gone to the dogs since he directed the ASOS Nike Air Max Day video featuring Jme earlier this year. The L$D director takes his trademark wobbly camera to a greyhound track to film Croydon newcomer Jamie Isaac and stylish Dublin rapper Rejjie Snow. While the visuals might leave you a little seasick, things do stay still long enough to get a good look at Rejjie's excellent iridescent blue adidas x Palace jacket.
