No doubt your mother has invested a good portion of her life crafting you into a fine human being, so it’s time to prove to her that those lost hours of sleep and pounds spent were all worth it. To strengthen your case, we’ve put together an outfit to make your mother proud.
An outfit mum would like

It’s Mother’s Day, so we hope you’ve got the flowers ordered, a card written and a nice relaxing day planned for her. No mother likes a scruffy son, so – to avoid an earful – you need to make sure you rock a nice, neat ’fit for the big day. A smart, patterned shirt is the perfect start but the key to nailing the statement shirt is to keep everything surrounding it muted. So, throw a simple grey sweatshirt over the top and some skinny black jeans down below.
If you’re planning to head outdoors for the day, a grey backpack is perfect for popping a picnic in and a lightweight waterproof jacket is a low-bulk option. For a surefire footwear winner, throw on some classic black Vans. If at this point you’re still unsure, trust us, we asked the opinion of our mum and this is the review she gave: ‘I love grey as you can wear it with anything. I think it all goes very well together. It actually looks really good.’ See? Perfect.
