Your souvenir jacket outfit

Light, bright and silky smooth, a souvenir jacket should probably be your new spring/summer staple.

No doubt you’ve been hearing a lot about SS16’s silk bomber or – strictly speaking – sukajan. Already a cult item, major fashion players like Valentino and Louis Vuitton’s homages to these Japanese jackets have made the souvenir cover-up SS16’s hottest ticket.
While we can all agree Gosling did a solid sartorial turn in Drive, for your own look think less lawless, more criminally cool. This bird-emblazoned black and white style is the perfect update for your worn-out wardrobe – the embroidered brother of your bomber jacket, it’ll cop you plenty of compliments and keep you warm on chillier days and nights.
Underneath, keep things muted with a monochrome pinstripe knitted T-shirt and cable-knit jumper. They’ll add some nice texture and allow you to build in a bit of strategic spring layering. For your bottom half, go for some slim-fit jeans with a raw edge to add interesting detail. Pop on a pair of cream Chuck Taylors and a khaki Eastpak backpack and you’re in the sartorial driving seat.
