MOST STYLISH NFL PLAYERS
By Style Feed Staff, 5 February 2017
You’re going to be calling in sick to work tomorrow. How do we know? Because you’ll be chowing through wings, reaching for ice-cold beers and glued to your screen till the wee hours of the morning when the 51st Super Bowl flickers onto your TV. So while you come up with a great excuse to fool your boss into giving you a day in bed, take a look at seven NFL players that not only rule supreme on the field, but know how to dress when they’re off it, too…

Victor Cruz
Living by the motto 'If you look good, you play good, and if you play good, you get paid good' has worked out pretty well for the 30-year-old New York Giants wide receiver. Dropping signature sneakers with Nike, becoming a New York Fashion Week ambassador, being the face of Givenchy and nailing his off-duty streetwear game non-stop has helped Cruz become one of the most acrobatic and lightening-quick athletes in the game, earning him a tidy $45million contract extension. See, style does pay.

Odell Beckham Jr
With a surname identical to that of sporting royalty, you gotta be good to carve out your own identity. Thankfully, this record-breaking rookie pro and rising NFL star has what it takes to stand on his own two extremely well-heeled feet, both on and off the field. We brought you his first and totally deserved ASOS OOTD a while back with this achingly cool take on formalwear, and since then his Insta feed’s been filled with tighter-than-tight sneaker game, perfectly executed tailoring, and envy-inducing pics of his high-flying lifestyle such as hangs with Drake, private jets and crazy whips. This guy’s got it all.

Cam Newton
The 6'5" Carolina Panthers quarterback (one of the highest-paid players in football history) pretty much broke more NFL records than he had hot dinners a couple of year back. Before that, he earned a Rookie of the Year nod in his first season and before that won the Heisman Trophy for being the most outstanding player in college football. The accomplishments don’t stop at the changing rooms, though – he’s had his own fashion line released in the States and time after time completely nails the ancient problem of fitting a super-hench frame into a suit.

If you’re forever rolling your eyes at the amount of space your girlfriend’s ever-growing shoe collection takes up in your flat, count your lucky stars that you’re not roomies with the San Francisco 49ers quarterback. The 28-year-old has had to convert his garage into one giant shoe rack to home his 400+ pairs of Nike trainers, giving us some indication as to what he’s splashing his $126million contract on.

Tom Brady
Even if you know jack about American football, the name Tom Brady will at least ring a couple of bells in your head. One of the biggest names in the sport – if not the biggest – the twice league MVP and four-time Super Bowl winner earns his place on this list for his constant, unrelenting and totally dependable throwdown of the classics. Everything from the humble cardigan to black tie to details like pocket squares are worn to perfection. Then again, if your other half was international supermodel Gisele Bündchen, then you’d want to look 100% sharp 100% of the time too, right?

Brandon Marshall
By trade, Brandon Marshall turns up for the Denver Broncos with the sole aim of tackling the opposition. Off the pitch, however – despite committing to donating $300 to local charities for every tackle he makes this season – he manages to tackle some of menswear’s latest trends. Here, the linebacker shows off his style nous by investing in a orange and green take on camo print that does more to make him stand out than blend in.

Sterling Shepard
Making it a hat-trick of stylish NY Giants players, here we have young wide receiver Sterling Shepard. Sure, he’s got tough competition for places when matched up against his teammates Odell Beckham Jr and Victor Cruz but, sartorially, he’s already showed he can easily hold his own in the big leagues. Unlike his more experimental counterparts, though, Shepard keeps things simple with solid streetwear – check his fail-safe trio of black Slayer jumper, faded skinny jeans and boxfresh black Jordans.
