STYLE ADVICE

Outfit of the month #7

Since the turn of the year, we’ve been in full fashion-week flow and, luckily for us, we’ve been treated to an abundance of stylish celebs, each dressed to the nines on the front rows of their favourite designers’ showcases. As Joey Bada$$ was, in essence, a walking trend guide at Rochambeau’s NYFW Men's show earlier this month, we thought it only right to reimagine his ’fit for your sartorial pleasure.

The Pro Era co-founder proved you don’t have to don extravagant designer threads to make the front row, compiling a classic, wearable getup up that boasted an on-trend pastel infusion instead. Do as Joey did and utilise a steely blue MA-1 bomber as the core of your ’fit – we’ve offered up a less iridescent option because you don’t want to get caught in the headlights or, if you’re an A-lister like Joey, the flashes of the paparazzi. Layer it over a stone sweatshirt to show off your tonal skills and, to break up the pastel hues, throw an oversized paint-splattered white tee under it – leaving the hem on show to exhibit the variety of texture.

Unless you inhabit the upper echelons of society, you’ve got fat chance of getting your hands on some Yeezys right now. It’s no problem though – adidas’s Tubular silhouette are a fresh alternative that will pair perfectly with those green chinos. Piece it all together and you have yourself a fresh reworking of Joey’s badass fashion-week look.
