OUTFIT OF THE DAY
Outfit of the Year #1
By Matt Glazebrook, 31 December 2015
Camel had a big year in 2015, pushing our old friend black to the back, and emerging as the go-to neutral for stylish dudes about town. Even the monochrome prince himself, A$AP Rocky, got on board, stepping out in a tawnily brilliant bomber jacket, and walking away with our Outfit of the Year Crown.

From traditional overcoats to streetwear standards like hoodies and joggers, light brown has been everywhere in late '15, securing its place on the shoulders of menswear thought leaders from Kanye West to Justin Bieber. A$AP was a late arrival to the beige bacchanal, but when he did join the party he – unsurprisingly – smashed it.
Serving up a masterclass in night out smart/casj, Lord Flacko paired a very cool sand-coloured bomber jacket with icy fresh black-and-white basics at the 2015 Guggenheim International Gala Pre-Party back in early November. It was a deceptively simple getup, but hit all the right notes with chunky Derby shoes polished within an inch of their life, staple black skinny jeans and a crisp white crew-neck T-shirt. The clean and classic Scandi-style bomber was the sartorial flourish, bringing a timelessly cool steez bang up to date.
