OUTFIT OF THE DAY
Outfit of the day #579
By Matt Glazebrook, 15 September 2015
David Beckham clearly didn't learn the old fashion edict about never wearing brown in town. This weekend he went to the greatest town of all – New York City – and bossed it in badass brown suit.

Becks was at the US Open men's tennis final in the Big Apple on Sunday and found himself seated next to US Vogue editor – and all round fearsome fashion matriarch – Anna Wintour. Unfazed, he styled it out in his controversial tan two-piece, in the way only a man who looks really good in a suit (and who happens to be wearing a really good suit) can.
A well-cut, slim-fit whistle in a soft, autumnal palette like Beckham's can be dressed up or down as the occasion demands and he's pitched things right down the middle here, with a crisp white shirt worn tie-less – a button undone for a relaxed air – and a shiny pair of patent black dress shoes to keep things anchored in smart territory. Advantage Becks.
