A$AP Rocky channelled classic 90s cult flick La Haine (Hate) with his wardrobe this week, but for us it was more a case of l'amour (love).
OUTFIT OF THE DAY
Outfit of the day #512
By Matt Glazebrook, 9 July 2015
Wearing head-to-toe branded leisurewear on stage at London's Wireless Festival, A$AP referenced old-school hip-hop styles as well as football casual culture, but mostly he reminded us of Vinz, Said and Hubert skulking around the Paris banlieue in track jackets and wind breakers Mathieu Kassovitz's bleakly stylish black-and-white masterpiece.
To rock this cool, monochrome take on the sportcore trend, pair a block-pattern track top in shades of grey with black joggers and remember to keep the kicks crisply clean and minimal (all-white Air Maxes, for instance) to let the 'fit do the talking.
Accessorise with gold wrist bling and a sovereign ring for full early-90s tough kid effect, or tone down the retromania one notch and switch the bottoms out for a pair of grey or light blue skinny jeans.
