Your Bastille Day outfit

Today, across the channel, our French brethren will be partying the night away after a day of military pomp and ceremony to celebrate the birth of the republic. So, in turn, we’re celebrating the birth of some of the greatest brands we’ve ever had the pleasure of repping with this outfit-based ode to all things French.
First up, we know this Happy the dwarf T-shirt from Gallic streetwear dons Eleven Paris might seem a little in ya face, but its childhood-recalling print has a knowing, ironic je ne sais quoi. Plus, when worn with stylish, neutral basics, it’s easier than you think to wear a ‘novelty’ item – especially when it comes from a design house with serious street cred.
This time, we’re going with jersey shorts, also from Eleven Paris, worn with sporty socks and awesome Le Coq Sportif kicks. Top off the outfit with a lightweight Lacoste bomber in case of moody, drizzly, greyscale-toned Parisian rain, plus a bright watch and backpack to break up all those neutrals. Et voilà! You’re all set for a day of hearing the people sing, singing the songs of angry men…
