MFW SS16 street style
By Matt Glazebrook, 23 June 2015
Milan: home of Italy's finance industry, one of Europe's great football rivalries and – every six months – some of the world's most stylish dudes, in town for Milan's Men's Fashion Week. Take a look at our pick of the SS16 fashion show attendees below and see how they compare to last week's London lot here.
This guy is a model and has seriously great hair, so he has an in-built advantage in the looking great stakes, but he's wisely chosen an outfit that subtly complements his natural interestingness rather than distracts from it. Black adidas Superstars, slim-fit black trousers, a light blue crew-neck T-shirt and a camo backpack – everything clean and casual in a neutral colour scheme. It's all very 'coolest kid in Year 11'.
A retro cream sweater with sneaky blue details, a smart leather backpack and a shock of bleach-blonde hair – if we looked as fresh as model Lucky Blue Smith, you'd mostly find us mid-selfie, too.
This chap has all the ingredients for a timeless street-style look: black Vans Authentics, stone-washed blue jeans in a slim but not skinny fit that's ideal for summer, a plain white T-shirt, a strong red Harrington jacket and a matching red wall to pose in front of. Because carrying a big slab of concrete around with you to complement your outfit is arguably a fashion sacrifice too far, we suggest instead copying his other accessory choices: specifically, a nicely worn in brown belt and a Yacht-ready pair of tortoiseshell sunglasses.
Hi. Just hanging out at Milan Fashion Week, leaning against a really big old door, looking deceptively fresh in my black suede Nike SBs and super simple basics. *Cool dude emoji*.
This man is wearing what we're calling 'the fashion week cape'. It's basically a suit jacket (a pretty expensive suit jacket) worn without your arms in the sleeves. The super power it gives you is the ability sit next to Anna Wintour on catwalk front rows without feeling intimidated. Our guy's paired his with a crisp white polo shirt, 'man bun' hair and all-white sneaks. Bonus points for his trusty sidekick – Boy Monochrome.
