Praise be for autumn and its bounty of televisual delights – specifically, the return of Brum-based gangster epic Peaky Blinders. Heading up this cast of charismatic mobsters is Tommy Shelby, played by Irishman with mad accent skillz Cillian Murphy. Not only does this guy wear a cap with razor blazes sewn into its peak (don’t ask), but also he sports a razor-sharp (albeit divisive) haircut, which is why he claims our Haircut Of The Week title.

Check out the shave on this guy. We’re talking about the kind of directional cut one might expect to see atop the bonce of a well-heeled Hackney resident, not a gang lord who bosses the streets of 1919 Birmingham. With a to-the-bone grade one on the sides and crop on the top, the blunt step between the shaved and longer section of hair reminds us a bit of Robert Pattinson’s latest do, too. So if you’re in the market for a change of style, you could do worse than going for this fresh, edgy look. Just don’t expect everyone to like it.
