Festival Gear: Gorgon City

It’s Glastonbury weekend! If you’re reading this in a field near Shepton Mallet or are currently on route, we’re going to assume you’ve packed a suitable festival survival kit already (please tell us you’ve packed already). But if you’re looking for advice for an upcoming weekend of music in the sun/mud, then hunt no further. Following on from top tips provided by Bastille and Glass Animals, we challenged red hot electronic duo Gorgon City to tell us how they get ready for a festival.

What can't you live without at a festival?

Wellies are essential for a wet festival and sun cream for a sunny one. Festivals are always extreme one way or another. Oh, and plenty of nice beverages!

Which festival(s) are you going to this summer?

Glastonbury, Bestival, SW4, Isle Of Wight, Hideout, Hard LA and lots more!

What's been your favourite ever festival moment?

Probably DJ-ing on the Hell stage in Shangri La at Glastonbury last year with Rudimental, Disclosure & Skream. Absolutely crazy night all around – plus fire spraying from the stage was a first!

Describe your fail-safe festival outfit...

Sunglasses, waterproof jacket, shorts and trainers or wellies (weather dependent) and a hip flask.

Do you have any festival horror stories?

We've seen lots of horrible mud swamps, floods and overflowing portaloos over the years.

Got any survival tips for festival first-timers?

Drink water, make friends, get some sleep (if only a few hours) as it’s gruelling. And be happy!
