Why have ASOS not banned leather or wool?

ASOS believe wool and leather can be sourced responsibly as a by-product of the meat industry and is committed to working with industry expert groups to support the ongoing research, development and implementation of animal welfare standards and transparency.

ASOS are a member of the Leather Working Group and is working towards sourcing all skins from LWG rated tanneries, to ensure good environmental compliance and traceability. We are also a member of Textile Exchange and support the adoption of the Responsible Wool Standard.

ASOS require its suppliers to implement industry recognised best-practice standards to ensure animal welfare is safeguarded at all times.
