INSPIRATION AND ADVICE

LONG-SLEEVED DRESSES AS SEEN ON ASOS INSIDERS

By Justine Fedorowycz, 6 May 2019

To sleeve or not to sleeve? It’s the classic seasonal dilemma. If our ASOS Insiders’ social feeds are anything to go by, though, the answer seems pretty clear. And while we’ll miss our short-sleeved summer dresses, there’s no denying that their long-sleeved counterparts have more to offer (materially-speaking, anyway). Serving the sartorial receipts to back it up, see how ASOS Insiders Lotte, Olive and Kat are wearing theirs.

Once the preserve of picnic blankets, gingham has officially become one of our go-to prints for just about everything. And judging by this picture, it’s one of ASOS Lotte’s faves, too – just look at that ruffled GHOSPELL dress. The chunky white sneakers help pick out those monochrome accents, while the matching checked shopper bag is another thing to, er, check off your wardrobe wish list.

Those bias-cut skirts you’ve been seeing everywhere? Well, now you can get them in dress form, too, as demonstrated here by ASOS Olive. And that’s not all this ASOS DESIGN maxi dress has going for it. Throw in still-on-trend zebra print, silky satin fabric and puffy sleeves and you’ve got yourself one serious multitasking piece. Whether you wear it with sneakers or sandals is up to you.

We’ve already covered gingham and animal print, so it’s only right to finish with florals. As seen on ASOS Kat, this divine offering from Scandi label VILA is crafted from lightweight chiffon for maximum floatiness. If you’re after a more custom fit, try using a belt to cinch it in at the waist. You can’t go wrong with a pair of sneakers, either (like you didn’t already know).
