INSPIRATION AND ADVICE

ASOS INSIDERS WEAR NEW-SEASON SNEAKERS

By Justine Fedorowycz, 23 March 2019

For as long as we can remember (read: since we could tie our own shoelaces), sneakers have been a staple in our footwear collection. Not only do they go with literally everything (jeans, skirts, dresses, you name it), they’re also supremely comfy *gives heels the side-eye*. And with guest appearances from the likes of Nike, Reebok and Converse in our latest sneaker drop, there are loads to choose from. Keep scrolling to see how ASOS Insiders are wearing theirs.

To mark 20 years since the release of the Air Max Plus OG sneakers, Nike went and dropped these blazing beauties late last year. And, proving you can never have too much of a good thing, ASOS Insider Barbara pairs her burnt-orange versions (inspired by a Florida sunset) with a matching sweatshirt to co-ordinate her fire 'fit. The padded leopard-print gilet makes for a pretty sweet clash, too.

Designed for all intents and purposes – albeit mainly casual ones – Reebok’s Sole Fury sneakers (complete with neon accents) offer a striking, streetwear-inspired take on the brand’s legacy. Follow ASOS Insider Lesley’s lead by teaming them with rolled-up light-wash jeans and a plain white singlet for your everyday thing. To finish, simply throw a co-ordinating bum bag into the mix – job done.

Last up is ASOS Insider Kicki, who’s quite literally on the stairway to heaven (sartorially speaking, anyway). Her classic Converse Chuck Taylors are the perfect foundation for the rest of her steezy getup, which includes a boiler-suit-inspired co-ord and orange roll-neck. Originally made for the basketball court, Chucks have come a long way since their initial release, all thanks to their versatile canvas uppers and durable rubber soles. Sneaker rotation, sorted.
