THIS SUMMER'S MOST UNEXPECTED COLOUR COMBO
By Justine Fedorowycz, 9 February 2019
You already know about highlighter brights, and while some of us might fancy just dipping our toes into the trend, we're starting to see a strong case for adding not one but two fluoro hues to your sartorial colour palette. The unexpected colour combo in question – ultra-bright orange and pink – has been lighting up runways and social feeds in a big way this season. See below for a timeline of the trend.

Giving us a lesson in standout tailoring, House of Holland’s ready-to-wear SS19 ‘Pull in Emergency’ collection (named after the alarm instructions on the London Underground, FYI) featured this super-saturated orange and pink creation. A nod to the modern-day career woman’s hectic lifestyle (note the still-wet hair), each piece is designed to inspire a sense of urgency associated with everyday life in the city. Can we all take a moment to appreciate those amazing neon sandals, please?

Mood = megawatt. Our Aussie ASOS Insider Ebony's pink and orange look is giving us all the summer feels. Switching up the classic jeans-and-a-T-shirt union, she teams her orange tee with a floaty pink skirt for the ultimate warm-weather link-up, and proves that colour clashing really isn’t at all as scary as it sounds. These strappy yellow heels have got that walking-on-sunshine thing going on, too.
