5 OF THE BEST RECYCLED SWIMWEAR STYLES
By Justine Fedorowycz, 25 January 2019
When you think of recycling, you probably think of the usual suspects: cardboard boxes, plastic packaging, etc. But what if we told you that recycled swimwear is a thing too and that it’s available right here on ASOS? Yep, that’s right. Our very own eco edit features everything from swimsuits to bikini tops and bottoms, all made with recycled polyamide yarn from recovered fishing nets and other waste material – you weren’t expecting that, were you? Check them out below.

Pretty sketchy
If you like your bathers on the artsy side, then feast your eyes on this masterpiece. This swimsuit’s scribbled floral design gives it a hand-drawn aesthetic, while cut-out details create the illusion of a two-piece. Shout-out to the contrast tab sides for keeping the whole thing together, too.

Stripe up your life
Sometimes less is more, so why not try swapping the straps (and tan lines) for a bandeau bikini top and high-waist bikini briefs? The combination of stripes and chevrons on this streamlined two-piece proves there’s no such thing as too many patterns either.

It’s a jungle out there
OK, so you probably saw this one coming. It’s no secret that we’re still completely obsessed with animal print, so it’ll come as no surprise that this lace-up monochrome (think leopard meets zebra) swimmer is at the top of our most-wanted list – teeny-tiny cat-eye shades optional.

Vitamin C vibes
We’ve said it once and we’ll say it again: highlighter hues are the shades to be seen in this season. And nothing screams summer like this neon orange halterneck bikini top and matching tie-side briefs. Add chunky trainers into the mix and you’ve got yourself a look that’s all kinds of lit.

Red alert
As if we’d leave the iconic red cossie out of a swimwear edit – puh-lease. Giving us all the Baywatch feels, this high-cut fuller-bust number (complete with sheer mesh inserts) was made for days spent at the beach. Pam Anderson would be proud.
