STYLING
3 WAYS TO WEAR PRINTED DRESSES
By Caroline Ferry, 19 October 2018
The mood for spring, and beyond, is most definitely modest. The trend for longer sleeves and skirt lengths is real, and we’re so here for it. Anything but boring, the silhouettes feel hella fresh and the prints are on point, too – there’s polka dots and cosmic patterns aplenty. So, here are three ways to wear your new-season dress.

Race days
Ladylike dressing has never felt so fun. The best bit about donning a covered-up dress like this beaut is that you have full permission to go completely extra with just about every other detail. Pink polka dots and textured silkiness? Sure. Clashing 80s slingbacks and chain handle bag? Bring it on. Fierce red lipstick? You’d be a fool not to. Go forth and win best-dressed guest. You’re ready.

Sundaze
This is the sort of dress you saw your mum wearing in a photograph from the 80s and then proceeded to berate her for not archiving for your future enjoyment. But alas, now it exists for you, and it is perfect. The slouchy pockets and belt feel retro-as, while the tea-dress style and asymmetric hem feel so RN. Add a check shoulder bag, fuzzy flats and gold chain jewels and you’ve got yourself the ultimate brunch plus-one.

Starry nights
There’s a covered-up dress for those big nights out, too, you know. Take yours to drinks by going for a shorter length with sweet peekaboo back details and some kinda 60s but very new-season white boots. What makes this look feel really new are those statement hair slides and that all-important asymmetric hem. Wear it again for daytime with your favourite belt bag and box-fresh tennis shoes.
