INSPIRATION AND ADVICE
HOW ASOSERS DO SNAKE PRINT
By Grace Cook, 10 September 2018
From zebra to leopard, animal print is forever on our radars – and this season is no exception thanks to a whole host of designers featuring it on their catwalks, such as leopard spots at Victoria Beckham and giraffe prints at Dior. But it was the slinky snake that really grabbed our attention. More subtle than its zoological counterparts, snakeskin is the print that really works across a whole host of garments, from hats to high-waisted trousers and heels. So, for a little inspiration, here's how ASOSers are wearing it...

A little shy of print? No worries, because you can still nail the trend with a cool-but-cutesy accessory, like this baker boy cap worn by our Social Media Creative, Laura. Wear it with a red lip and classic separates to up the Parisian vibe. Then, a simple mule caps the look off nicely.

Carrie Bradshaw, eat your heart out. This amazing vintage-inspired coat is just the ticket for bringing a little SATC glam to casual outfits. Best styled with everyday basics like jeans, a white tee and a baseball cap – as demonstrated by our PR Assistant, Rachele – your wardrobe won't know what's hit it.

Looking for an easy way to dip your toe into the trend? Our Creative Production Assistant, Amelia, has the answer in the form of this snakeskin-print bag. With retro buckle detailing, wear it with a laid-back striped tee and denim during the day, but scale things up with a satin dress and metallic heels for your next night out.

Project Manager, Iyesha, shows a sleek snakeskin-print top tucked into a pair of high-waisted trousers can be a far more subtle look than you might expect. Follow her lead and style with Dr. Martens, rather than heels, then throw on a biker jacket for that finishing touch.

OK, so you've decided to go for the head-to-toe snakeskin-print look... Well, let PR Assistant, Rose, give you a masterclass in how to pull it off. Choose a long-sleeved, midi-length style in a slinky fabric – with added slits in the skirt to aid any after-dark dancing. Then, crisp white trainers provide a low-key finish. Easy peasy.
