STYLING
HOW TO EASE INTO AUTUMN DRESSING
By Maybelle Morgan, 26 April 2018
We all know the weather can be somewhat fickle in this transitional time, so while the up-and-down temp can mean hit-and-miss layering for your wardrobe, one thing you can nail is this fresh-as colour palette. And no one has this concept down better than this New York street-styler, bringing the goods with this minimalistic look…

If in doubt, less is more – especially when it comes to silhouettes and colour palettes, which is why we’re crushing hard on this simple Scandi-style getup. Keep shapes weather-flexible by opting for oversized and wide-leg, and then go sleek on your accessories. Layering is a must in these temperamental times, but keep it fresh and cool by building up in intense colour-block sections for a standout look: in this case, frosted blue on the upper half and retro white on the bottom.

For your own cool take? Follow suit and keep the shades uniform: white wide-leg denim (it’s going to be everywhere for 2018, trust) then a fun slogan knit in mouthwash blue and white amps up the fun. Retro is the way to go for your accessories, and 60s monochrome adds a preppy matchy-matchy element. Pointed contrast boots and a mini duffel dogtooth bag seal the deal.
