STYLING
THIS IS HOW YOU WIN A COLOUR COMBO
By Maybelle Morgan, 16 April 2018
Every so often, a colour combo comes around that for reasons which defy all logic, just works. One such pairing is orange and black, which, layered against each other, make for the perfect yin and yang of darkness meets a zingy pop of colour. And it’s never felt more right than for 2018, as we creep into the colder months we'll need to brighten-up. Take notes from this street-styler who has the skill all the way down…

Unapologetically bright, orange is not a colour to do by halves – and this Londoner goes full-on with a tangerine and black combo. Utility is the name of the game with a garish boiler suit and matching tinted frameless sunnies (safety goggle vibes turned all the way up). Chunky black accessories cut through the orange for a perfectly balanced look.

And to nail the look yourself? Swap the boiler suit for some lighter separates: think bright-orange utility trousers with a check square-neck crop top and kitsch orange-frame glasses. Then mix up the texture with a 90s Britpop rain mac and a black bum bag draped across the body. Stompy black boots clash up the utilitarian look for something a little grungier. Did anyone say festival?
