HOW TO DO A KNITTED CO-ORD

By Lucy Glen, 4 April 2018

When the words 'knitted' and 'co-ord' are placed in a sentence together, it probably conjures visions of something your nan would've picked out for you back in the day. But please let us help you banish those thoughts and leave them with the stale chips she sometimes serves. Take a fresh approach for 2018 and embrace a truly versatile outfit option – a 3-in-1 bargain that will see you through both super special and low-key occasions.

Wearing a patterned co-ord is an inspired choice, whether you prefer fancy florals or strong stripes, a loud look is how you'll be taking centre stage this season. This ASOS DESIGN newspaper-print version is anything but old news as the cool cut includes a high neckline and short hemline, ensuring you're feeling balanced and bold.

Then, no autumn/winter outfit is complete without an outer layer and selecting a trench coat is nothing out of the ordinary... unless it's a baby-blue vinyl one. This cool-as-ice rain mac will add a hint of space expedition to your day – which we're totally down with.

Another key style addition to the cold-weather roster is the technical sneaker and with these Nike Air Max kicks, you'll be leading the chic charge. Lastly, if you're still not convinced about the return of the bum bag, trust that it's worth at least testing out – if only so you can say 'fanny pack' out loud.
