3 WAYS TO WEAR PRINTED DENIM
By Maybelle Morgan, 12 March 2018
Mid-March and we're a few weeks into autumn. This calls for a wardrobe celebration/shake-up of epic proportions in the form of bright and bold printed denim you’ll be wearing all winter long. Whether it’s checks, animal print or stripes, here are three ways to style it…

Grunge girl
If it’s a bold statement you want, it’s a bold statement you’ll get with these stare-stealing mom jeans in 'No Doubt's Gwen Stefani meets Clueless' acid checks. Make them the central focus of your look by toning down the rest of your outfit’s colour palette, while a tucked-in jersey tee keeps the whole thing balanced. Then, amp up the grunge with chunky hardware sandals, before mixing your influences with a western-style fringed denim jacket.

Line dancing
Newsflash: your denim staples have had a fresh upgrade. Sweet-as deckchair stripes in faded red have taken over your mini, which can be paired with a graphic-print tee to maximise the retro by-the-sea feel. A perspex belt adds subtle texture, while 80s-style green pointed mules and a grab-handle clutch provide a dressier vibe.

Cash cow
Yes, consider this the moment your going-out look experienced the prints-rich glow-up it always deserved. Denim on denim is the crux of the look, and fun monochrome cow print is the cherry on top. The cropped jean bandeau looks so perfectly 00s with the jacket and silky emerald-green trousers are definitely worthy of Studio 54. Finish with platform sandals and a slick of cobalt-blue eyeshadow, and you can consider yourself dancefloor ready.
