Why we’re obsessed with baby-blue eyeliner

The year is 2001. They might not know it yet but Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears have just changed the face of red-carpet style in legendary double-denim outfits, set to be referenced from now until the end of time. Fast forward to 2017 and Yara Shahidi has brought back the legacy of the 00s with a divine blue-on-blue beauty look to be worn all year long.

Forget OTT lip liner and skinny brows, it’s all about channelling the decade in a subtle way. Reference the denim colour palette by going for a liquid-liner flick in a baby-blue hue. Then, to keep all eyes on the eyes for max impact, complement the blue with a sweep of peachy bronzer and bare lips. Hammer home that throwback influence with a raw-edge denim dress, plus some mega hoops (the bigger, the better).
