ASOSERS DO VIRTUAL PARTY STYLE

Picture this: it’s Friday night and you’ve got nowhere to be (…and that shouldn’t be hard to imagine ATM). What do you do? Well, your options are: stay in and read a book, stay in and watch Netflix, or stay in and video call everyone you know! If you’ve chosen the latter at any point during these isolation times, you’ve probably wondered: what on Earth do I wear for a Friday night hang from home?

Whether your party style is usually a head-to-toe statement, or if you’re more of a joggers and tee kind of person, your style is bound to change a little from the comforts of your own couch. That’s why we caught up with some ASOS staff to see what they’ve been rocking for their online hangs.

Harvey, Retoucher

This would be my ideal party look just in time for spring/summer – something I would definitely wear at a casual rooftop bar or an actual house party. I like to wear oversized fits and something I’m comfortable in, but also look like I made an effort 👀Then, I throw on a bucket hat and sunglasses to get those absolute summer vibes.

Fun fact: this shirt was precisely in my suitcase with my other summer outfits ready for Coachella because I was packing it up with all these new items I bought. Yes, I start adding stuff to my suitcase a month in advance! But obviously that excitement was shut down quickly, so I guess I’m dressed for Couchella this year 🥴Tonight, I'm wearing this postcard print shirt and denim shorts for a FaceTime with my friends.

Ronald, Senior Social Media Planner

I promise I’m not hat-fishing, just currently experiencing a tiny and inconsequential crisis (i.e. not having had a haircut in 2 months). So, basically, I have no choice. Tonight, I’ve got my Aztec shirt paired with a fitted cap and some gym shorts… for when you need to do some squats or stretch mid-video call, obviously. Now more than ever, we need to find the simple comforts in life, and sometimes I dress the part just to feel a bit human. Look good, feel good, ya know? 🤙
