INSPIRATION AND ADVICE

ASOS INSIDERS WEAR SNEAKERS FOR SS19

Whether you’re a part-time trainer lover or 100% sneakerhead, you can’t deny that a sweet pair of kicks can seriously make your look. And with our sneaker edit serving up everything from classic adidas styles to skate-inspired Vans, it’s no surprise that our Saved Items are looking pretty crep-heavy right now. For our autumn sneaker energy we’re taking cues from our ASOS Insiders – here's how Jono, Ruddy and Joshua wear theirs.

First up, we’ve spotted ASOS Insider Jono making a serious case for colour. Breaking up the green-beige shade of his baggy work pants, his Converse sneakers add a flash of red, ensuring all eyes stay on the trainers. Up top? Flex a clashing printed shirt if, like us, you’re still clinging on to summer memories. The rule with a look like this is that there are no rules – the more colourful the kicks, the better.

So many things to dig about this outfit – namely, ASOS Insider Ruddy working 50 shades of blue in one look. With a brand new colourway for 2019, the green teal and striking royal blue tones of his Nike Air Max 720s are giving us major oceanic vibes. Make like Ruddy and do the double-denim thing (in blue, of course) with a matching windbreaker layered underneath. Nice to know: the soles of these sneakers are made using 75% recycled manufacturing waste.

These Converse kicks are so good you’ll end up scrapping the no-shoes-on-the-bed rule, just like ASOS Insider Joshua. The white colourway, finished with black branded accents, means they’ll go with just about any gear you throw on – a huge bonus for when you’re late and grab the first pair of sneakers you see. Note how Joshua pairs them with wide-cut pants (as seen everywhere on street stylers during London Fashion Week) and chill sweats up top.
