ASOS INSIDERS WEAR SUMMER SHIRTS

Shirts may not generally be the most exciting part of your sartorial arsenal, but, when summer hits, that humble Oxford number you’ve got hanging up in your wardrobe immediately qualifies for a warm-weather upgrade. See how Jono, Dennis and Ruddy – AKA, our ASOS Insiders – are wearing theirs.

Stealing all the focus from the vintage car in the background, our Aussie-based  Insider Jono's revere-collar shirt is giving off serious retro vibes. From the dragon print snaking around the back to the understated white singlet layered underneath, this moving-to-LA getup is perfect for the days when you’re trying but not trying. Finishing touches include a jacket slung over the shoulder and narrow black sunnies, naturally.

One of the best things about summer are those impromptu trips to the beach, and while we wouldn’t recommend taking this shirt for a dip in the ocean, it does help serve as an extra layer once you’ve dried off – as demonstrated here by our German ASOS Insider, Dennis. Add some jewellery (including several rings, a couple of woven bracelets and a multilayered necklace) into the mix and you’ve got yourself a solid summer look. The odds of you leaving with an entire beach worth of sand stuck to you are still just as high, though.
