HOW WE DO COLOURED KICKS
By Lakeisha Goedluck, 17 November 2018
Eyeing up bold coloured sneakers, but not sure where to start? Fear not, because there are plenty of fly sneaker silhouettes to help ease your way out of your trusty black and white trainers. From dad-approved New Balances to an ever-reliable pair of Converse creps, take a look at the models the gang at ASOS HQ are, well, modelling below.
The steezy silhouettes from adidas have been coming in thick and fast this year, and the latest in the line-up is the adidas Originals Temple Run. Here, our Junior Designer Emma uses hers to add a pop of colour to her otherwise minimal outfit. Sporting a cream shacket, charcoal tee and black jeans, she doubles up on texture with corduroy and ribbed socks.
If you thought matching your creps to your T-shirt was slick, then get a load of our Junior Designer Seb’s ’fit. Sartorially taking it up a notch, Seb matches the red and white colourway of his Reebok Revenge trainers to the stripe detailing on his pants. And to stay cosy, he layers a check puffer jacket over a classic white tee.
As far as classic kicks go, it doesn’t get much more iconic than Converse sneakers. Going for purple Converse Chuck 70 Ox shoes, our Creative Content guy Nic is clearly a fan of pared-back garms. Sporting a white hoodie and mid-wash jeans, he proves that fresh but understated is the way forward.
