3 HAIRSTYLES FOR 2018
By Lakeisha Goedluck, 4 June 2018
What better time to freshen up your hairstyle than when winter rocks around? So, if your cut is looking a little tired, don’t worry – here are three 2018-ready looks to get you inspired.

In case you weren’t aware, it’s all about dressing like the Gallaghers/Damon Albarn next season. From Dior Homme to Sunnei, the 2018 catwalks were inundated with models rocking oversized leather jackets, blackout shades and mid-washed jeans à la the Britpop lot. If you’re down to jump on the aesthetic early, why not start with your hair? Get that Liam-esque mop by allowing your hair to grow out a little in the front – so you just need to run some styling balm through your fringe to nail that dishevelled, ‘not bothered’ look.

If you’re lucky enough to have hair that defies gravity, capitalise on the nature of your strands and go for a high-top fade. The trick to this style is to keep your hair well-moisturised – a coconut oil-based leave-in conditioner will help with hydration, but don’t forget to maintain the back and sides, too, with a little hair oil. Also, remember to head to your barbers on a regular basis to ensure that your fade stays sharp.

A radical change in hairstyle not what you’re after? No worries, stick to a classic look instead. If you’ve got naturally wavy hair, this cut may just be the one for you – a neat, short style that requires little maintenance but will look fresh all season long. In order to get your waves to hold their shape, apply a bit of pomade to your hair after washing. No need to style with a comb, just blow dry on a low temperature setting for extra definition.
