Refreshing your gear ahead of a new season is always a good idea, but it’s important to remember to up your footwear game while you’re at it. Stacked soles
For the past few seasons, chunky-soled trainers have been growing in popularity. From the much-coveted Balenciaga Triple S to the upcoming Yeezy Runner, comfy, grandad-style kicks are where it’s at. At first, the silhouette may seem daunting to style, but try rocking the thicker models with a pair of work pants or your favourite skater for 2018.

Vapormax vibes
After the creation of its Air Max technology back in 1987 (that bubble of visible air in the midsole), Nike has arguably held the position of leader of the pack when it comes to innovative shoe styles. Fast-forward to 2017, and the introduction of the Vapormax – the first Nike shoe to have an air unit for a sole. This year, the Vapormax Plus – a hybrid between the Vapormax and the Tuned silhouette – comes onto the scene. Cop the style in a vibrant colourway to stay on-trend this spring.

Old-school silhouettes
From colour-block track-jackets to striped tees, borrowing style staples from the 80s and 90s has become the sartorial zeitgeist. And channelling retro aesthetics has been made easier thanks to sportswear giants releasing updated takes on their most popular trainer models from the past (Air Max 97s, anyone?). Get in on the hype with a steezy pair of kicks inspired by the classics such as the Reebok Leisure Pack kicks pictured here.
