HOW TO DO THE COLOUR ORANGE

Usually reserved for construction workers and prison inmates, the colour safety orange is all about standing out from the crowd. It was featured on numerous catwalks during fashion month (Christopher Raeburn and Versace to name two) and this zesty hue looks set to replace millennial pink as the shade for 2018. So, want to know how to work it into your daily 'fit without stopping traffic? See below...

OK, the best place to begin? Pick your orange piece first. It could be a vibrant jacket, a loud tee or a more subtle accessory – a beanie is a strong choice. On this occasion, we've opted for these ultra-casual Mennace trackies with just the right amount of mandarin orange.

Then, build around your bright base. Adding a long-sleeve T-shirt works well for the autumn/winter months ahead, and it's even better in the classic Breton stripe from streetwear kings Stüssy. The matching monochrome of the stripes up top and the joggers' side panels work well to tone down the eye-popping Pantone nicely.

Still not convinced about wearing the vest in a non-workout scenario? Trust us, it's one of the most practical layering tools out there and going for a camouflage print will ensure it looks fresh all year long. Lastly, the look is complete with ASOS HQ favourite: the classic Vans Old Skool.
